Course & Content Access Control

Course & Content Access Control

Access that follows the group, not the person.

Joining a team grants everything that team can see. Leaving removes it. Courses, events, and gated content all follow membership automatically, driven by CRM tags.

Granting access one person at a time does not survive contact with a client

A company enrolls forty staff in a program with six courses, four events, and a resource library. Granting that individually is 400 operations, and the moment somebody joins in month two you get to do it again. Attaching access to the team instead means one rule covers every current member, every future member, and every removal, without anybody reconciling anything.

Available now as custom build.

TEAMS is currently implemented as custom solutions for trusted partners, and everything on this page works today through that process. A fully self-managed plugin is in active development as part of the Gamplify Suite.

What team membership can unlock

Everything available to you.

Content

Under the hood

How it is driven

The awkward ones

Edge cases

Worked example

One join, twenty three things granted

And one leave, twenty three things revoked, with the history intact.

Access via team

One member

Enroll

A new hire claims a seat and joins the Sales cohort

One action on her side.

Enroll

Six courses, four events, a resource library

Granted immediately by tag. Nobody enrolled her in anything by hand.

Delegate

Month three, she moves to the Support cohort

Sales content closes, Support content opens, same instant.

Report

Month nine, she leaves the company

Seat released, access revoked, nothing orphaned.

Report

Her completions and points are kept

So if she returns at another client, she resumes rather than restarts.

Recipes

Three you could build this afternoon.

Read them as when, only if, then. That is the whole grammar of the system.

Attach access to the team, never the person

When

A team is being set up

Only if

Access needs granting

Then

Define it once at team level. Individual grants are the thing you will still be untangling in a year

Add a grace period on removal

When

A member is removed from a team

Only if

They have work in progress

Then

Give a short window before access closes, so nobody loses a half-finished module to an admin action

Keep history when access ends

When

A team membership ends

Only if

For any reason

Then

Retain points, completions, and achievements. Wiping earned history is the fastest way to lose somebody permanently

Before you build

Three things worth knowing.

Note

One member on two teams should get the union of access, not a conflict. Decide this before it happens rather than during a support call.

Note

Test removal as carefully as you test granting. Access that fails to revoke is a compliance problem, not just a bug.

Note

Because this runs on tags, a single tag change can move somebody through several gates at once. Worth testing on one record first.
