PLAS
Four mechanics. One loop. Everything else plugs into it.
Points, Levels, Achievements, and Streaks. Every other tool in GAME feeds these four or displays them, which is why PLAS is the thing to design first and the thing most platforms get wrong.

Why the four only work together
The four, in detail
Everything available to you.
Each is unlimited, each works on online and offline activity, and each displays anywhere through the shortcode builder.
Did that count?
Points
- Multiple point types, so learning and community can be scored separately
- Redeemable through WooCommerce for real rewards
- Automated rules built in Flows rather than configured by hand
- Awarded for offline activity through scorecards, checklists, and goals
- Displayed anywhere by shortcode
Am I getting somewhere?
Levels
- Unlimited level types and unlimited levels within each
- Assigned automatically by Flow when a threshold is crossed
- Driven by points, achievements, streaks, course progress, or any combination
- A visible next rung, which is the entire point of having them
Did I cross a line?
Achievements
- Badges, tokens, avatar unlocks, and certificates
- Earned from online activity or from anything tracked offline
- Earned and unearned states both display, because the locked ones drive curiosity
- Placed on profiles, member cards, directories, and feeds
Do I have something to protect?
Streaks
- Unlimited streak triggers on any action the platform can see
- Logins, points, course progress, checklists, goals, event attendance
- Daily, weekly, or monthly cadence
- The only mechanic that creates a cost to skipping today
Worked example
One evening, all four moving
A member logs in after dinner. Here is what the four mechanics do between 7:41 and 7:58.
PLAS in motion
17 minutes
Act
She opens the platform for the twelfth day running
The streak extends before she has done anything else. Showing up is itself the action.
Measure
Lesson completed, 120 points awarded
Written to her CRM record. Two point types move: Learning and Platform.
Measure
Points cross 8,400, so the level recalculates
Practitioner becomes Mentor. The threshold was set once and has run itself since.
See
Mentor appears on her profile and her directory card
Which is where status has to live to function as status.
Result
One achievement remains locked and visible
Iron Week, one day away. She now has a specific reason to open the app tomorrow.

Three things worth knowing.
Note
Two or three point types, not ten. Every extra currency divides attention and weakens all of them.
Note
Set level thresholds with fast early wins and longer gaps later. The shape of the curve is the design work.
Note
Never strip earned points or achievements when a subscription lapses. Remove access, keep the history, or you lose them permanently.
