The export and match problem

Without an integration, the workflow is this: run the session, download the Zoom participant report, open your member list, and try to match them up. Except people join with a personal email, or a nickname, or a phone number, so roughly a fifth of the rows never match anything. Somebody spends forty minutes on it, gets it eighty percent right, and stops doing it by the third month. Then attendance stops being tracked and every mechanic that depends on it quietly dies.

Before you build

Three things worth knowing.

Note

Shared join links break attendance tracking completely. This is the most common configuration mistake.

Note

Phone joins will never match perfectly. Accept a small manual reconciliation rather than pretending the number is exact.

Note

Test the whole chain before your first real session. Discovering the sync is misconfigured after a mastermind is expensive.
