Group Events

Group Events

Register a whole office in one action.

Enroll a team, cohort, franchise location, or department into an event as a single transaction, then manage the roster afterwards without chasing nine individual signups by email.

The gap in the WordPress ecosystem

Every event plugin available assumes one person signs themselves up. That assumption breaks the moment a company buys attendance for its staff, a franchise registers an office, or a coach enrolls a cohort. What happens instead is a spreadsheet emailed back and forth, nine separate signups created by hand, and an attendance list nobody trusts. This is the single feature that has brought more clients to us than any other, because it does not exist anywhere else and there is no clean workaround.

How group registration works

Everything available to you.

One transaction, many attendees, and a roster that stays manageable afterwards.

What the buyer sees

Reporting

Worked example

A franchise registering twelve locations

One buyer, twelve offices, roughly ninety people, and no spreadsheet.

Regional training day

12 locations

Register

Regional manager buys 90 seats in one transaction

One invoice, one purchase order, one checkout.

Register

Each location manager claims their allocation

They assign their own staff. The regional manager never collects names.

Schedule

Unclaimed seats release back seven days out

So the final headcount is real rather than aspirational.

Attend

Attendance records per person and per location

Which turns into a league table if you want one.

Reward

Each location manager gets their own report

Their people only, which is both more useful and a privacy requirement.

Recipes

Three you could build this afternoon.

Read them as when, only if, then. That is the whole grammar of the system.

Let the buyer stop being the middleman

When

A group purchase completes

Only if

Seats are unassigned

Then

Send the buyer a claim link to distribute, so members assign themselves and nobody transcribes a spreadsheet

Reclaim the seats nobody took

When

A deadline approaches

Only if

Seats remain unclaimed

Then

Release them back to general availability and notify the buyer, so a paid seat is not wasted

Turn locations into teams

When

A group registers

Only if

They belong to a region or franchise

Then

Create a dynamic team from the group so attendance feeds a team leaderboard automatically

Before you build

Three things worth knowing.

Note

Group registration is a B2B feature wearing a B2C interface. Design it for the buyer, who is usually not attending.

Note

Always let seats be reassigned. Staff turnover between purchase and event is normal, and a locked seat becomes a refund request.

Note

Give the buyer their own report. It is the thing that gets your event renewed next year.
